Redeem rewards with a 25% bonus to cover travel purchases with the Pay Yourself Back feature. Get a statement credit to cover purchases for flights, hotels, car rentals, rideshare services and more, with each point being worth 1.25 cents. Redeeming this way means the 100,000-point welcome bonus is valued at a minimum of $1,250 in statement credits toward travel purchases. And through December 31, 2024, Aeroplan doesn’t limit the number of points you can redeem with the Pay Yourself Back tool.
Redeem for Flights
Aeroplan points are some of the most versatile available, with over 50 partners between Star Alliance carriers and other partner airlines. United Airlines loyalists might be particularly interested in the Aeroplan card and the program’s benefits particularly since Aeroplan uses a published award chart, making trip redemptions straightforward. United eliminated its award chart, so award rates are now dynamic and can be unpredictable. You’ll want to check both United and Aeroplan to see which one offers the better rate.

Aeroplan shines when it comes to short-haul flights as well. Within North America, you can book flights under 500 miles for only 6,000 Aeroplan miles. That’s what Aeroplan charges to fly from Chicago, Illinois to Minneapolis, Minnesota on United.
