Bilt Rewards plans to expand its loyalty program with a new reward type called Bilt Cash, launching January 1, 2026.
Bilt Cash will replace the current Milestone Rewards and function as an additional reward currency alongside Bilt Points. Members can redeem it for fixed value at merchants within Bilt’s network, while Bilt points will remain available for travel transfers and other flexible redemption options.
Anyone interested in earning Bilt points and Bilt Cash can sign up for a free Bilt Rewards account. At the time of registering, they can apply for the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® (rates & fees) or continue without the credit card application.
What Is Bilt Cash?
Bilt Cash will replace Milestone Rewards, operating as a dollar-for-dollar currency redeemable at participating merchants and partners in Bilt’s network. Members will be able be able to use it for mobile dining checkout at neighborhood restaurants, hotels booked through the Bilt Travel Portal, fitness studios and Bilt Home Delivery orders.
For instance, $10 in Bilt Cash will equal $10 toward a purchase within the network, serving as a fixed-value credit inside the Bilt environment.
Members can also redeem Bilt Cash for one-time elite status benefits, including upgraded status for Rent Day transfer bonus and early access to experiences. These benefits are designed to complement, not replace, the redemption options for Bilt points.
Bilt Cash launches January 1, 2026. Any Milestone Rewards claimed before the end of this year will remain active until they expire, or a member has earned the maximum number of points for that Milestone Reward. Unused Milestone Rewards will expire at the end of the year.
How To Earn Bilt Cash
Similar to Milestone Rewards, members will earn Bilt Cash through points-earning milestones. Each time a member earns 25,000 Bilt points, they’ll earn $50 in Bilt Cash that can be used immediately.
The quickest way to earn Bilt points and, as a result, Bilt Cash, is by using the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®. It earns 1 point per dollar on rent payments without the transaction fee (on up to 100,000 points each calendar year), 3 points per dollar on dining, 2 points per dollar on travel (when booked through the Bilt Travel Portal or directly with an airline, hotel, car rental or cruise company) and 1 point per dollar on other purchases. The card must be used at least 5 times each statement period to earn points.
Why Bilt Cash Matters
Since launching in 2021, Bilt Rewards has positioned itself as the only major program that allows renters to earn transferable points on rent payments (up to 100,000 points in a calendar year). The company now reports more than 5 million members and says it processes rent payments in roughly one in four U.S. rental properties.
Bilt points will continue to serve as the flexible, travel-focused currency through airline and hotel transfer partners such as Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards, United Airlines MileagePlus and World of Hyatt. Bilt Cash, by contrast, will provide fixed-value rewards for everyday use within the Bilt ecosystem.
To break down the two-currency system:
- Bilt points remain focused on transfer to travel loyalty programs and other flexible redemption options.
- Bilt Cash offers fixed-value redemptions at merchants within Bilt’s network.
How It Connects to the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®
Bilt Cash will integrate with the points earnings of the Bilt World Elite Mastercard®. The card has no annual fee (rates & fees), which has been a key differentiator among travel-oriented rewards cards. Cardholders earn 1 point per dollar on rent payments without the transaction fee (on up to 100,000 points each calendar year), 3 points per dollar on dining, 2 points per dollar on travel (when booked through the Bilt Travel Portal or directly with an airline, hotel, car rental or cruise company) and 1 point per dollar on other purchases. The card must be used at least 5 times each statement period to earn points.
Cardholders can transfer points to more than a dozen travel partners, including Air France-KLM Flying Blue, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards and Hilton Honors. They can also use points for rent credits, travel bookings, fitness classes and home decor, though transfers to airline and hotel programs usually offer the best redemption value.
With Bilt Cash entering the picture, cardholders will continue earning Bilt points as usual and will receive periodic Bilt Cash bonuses as they hit the 25,000-point milestones. This means heavy spenders, particularly those earning through rent (up to 100,000 points in a calendar year), dining and travel, could see a new layer of dollar-value rewards to spend directly at local merchants or one-time experiences.
Bottom Line
Bilt Cash, replacing Milestone Rewards and launching January 1, 2026, expands the Bilt Rewards ecosystem. It doesn’t replace Bilt Points but adds a parallel stream of value, allowing members to redeem the new currency at merchants within Bilt’s network.
